PuppY School

£150.00 for 6 week course

Puppy School is a set of six puppy training classes lasting one hour each week and is a dedicated course designed to give puppies and their owners a well rounded start to dog training and socialisation.

Classes are open to all vaccinated puppies up to 20 weeks old and are fun as well as educational. We encourage all the family to join us in class, and welcome children especially.

Training includes:

  • Come when called

  • Sit/lie down and stand - on command

  • Walk on a loose lead without pulling

  • Settle

  • Wait

  • Leave it

  • Sit when being greeted without jumping up

  • Stop play biting

  • Be accepting of people around food bowls, bones, toys and chews

  • Socialisation

  • Manners

Private Training

£50.00 per 1 hour session

Private 1-2-1 training can be booked by the hour or as multiple sessions. If we have not met you and your dog before, we can come to your home for an initial consultation and from here we are able to recommend a tailored training schedule to suit the individual needs of your dog.*

Our ‘Junior’ 1-2-1 training sessions are particularly popular with Puppy School graduates who may want to continue training at a more advanced level.

The types of training we can provide help with include:

  • Private puppy training

  • Follow on training for ‘Juniors’

  • Socialisation

  • Canine enrichment

  • Separation anxiety

  • Desensitisation training (overcoming fears)

  • Clicker training

  • Recall

  • Walking to heel

*If we feel it appropriate after our initial consultation, we are also able to refer any specific behaviourial training needs on to speacialists whom we work closely with.

Dog First Aid

£49.50 for an afternoon course

Our Dog First Aid classes are presented by registered veterinary surgeons and are held in a single afternoon. The course is open to everyone from pet owners, dog walkers, dog trainers, handlers or rescue workers.

What Will You Learn?

  • How to examine a dog correctly and safely

  • Scene assessment – keeping yourself safe whilst helping the dog

  • What a Dog First Aiders Role is – what you can and can’t do

  • Canine CPR – NOT the same as with a human!

  • How to act if a dog starts choking

  • Dog Fights – how do you split up two dogs wanting to kill each other??

  • Different Types of Bleeds and what to do

  • Drowning Dogs – when can they drown and how to react

  • Which burns to treat and how

  • Heat stroke – a killer

  • Road Traffic Accidents

  • Eye Injuries

All attendees will receive a certificate on completion of the course which is valid for three years.
