'Lady & the Hound' is a tailored Canine Care and Coaching service providing puppy classes and private 1-2-1 dog training, home schooling, Dog First Aid courses and nutritional advice. We also sell a variety of carefully chosen pet products and training aids available to purchase in our very own online ‘Dog Shop’.
Founded by Imogen Haley after she became a dog owner herself, the business aims to help owners raise and coach their dogs to become well adjusted pets in an environment which feels safe and friendly to both dog and owner. We believe it is important for us to work in partnership with you and your dog in a kind and positive way and to achieve this we use only 'reward based' training methods.
Imogen lives in Walton-on-Thames with her two dogs Albert and Rita and is a certified trainer with Puppy School UK and Raw Advisor for Natures Menu. ‘Lady & the Hound’ is fully insured and an accredited member of the 'National Association of Registered Pet Sitters' (NarpsUK).
“Introducing some of our special LATH pack members who we’ve had the pleasure to help coach and care for…”
We work in partnership with Natures Menu - has your pet tried our super healthy range of food and treats? Making sure your dog gets a balanced and nutritious diet is key to improving their cognitive development and will also help to develop focus and learning retention whilst your dog is in training with us.

Private puppy training
£200.00 for 4 week course
We are able to provide private 1:1 training for owners and their dogs who feel that group classes might not be for them. Or perhaps your puppy has just missed our 20 week maximum age limit for classes?
Our 1:1 sessions are tailored to the needs of you and your puppy and we cover exactly the same training as we do in our Puppy School classes, but over a more intensive period of 4 weeks. Our methods are ‘reward based’ and we train in a positive way which makes learning fun - and hence far more achievable for your puppy.
The whole family is encouraged to take part in these sessions and we are happy for friends to join in too - just let us know before each session who to expect at training so we can plan for this.
We come to your home and can train in local areas such as your favourite park or walking area.
Please enquire about our private puppy training programmes or ad-hoc sessions by clicking the ‘Contact Us’ button below.
