Course Content:

Our ‘Juniors’ training course is open to all Puppy School graduates as well as new dogs from the age of 20 weeks and upwards.

A basic level of prior training is necessary to join this course so if you have not yet trained with us, we may ask you to book a consultation so we can assess your dog’s current training ability.

Class content includes:

• Advanced recall - in and out of sight of owner

• Advanced heelwork - on and off lead

• Focus work with distractions and distance

• Stay/wait whilst owner leaves the room

• Place training (go to bed)

• Road safety

• Doggy manners

• Desensitisation to things around the home

• Interactive play for adolescent dogs

• Introduction to clicker training

• Brain games

• Tricks

• And more!

What else is included on this course:

• FREE training kit bag and clicker

• FREE training treats and chews

• weekly WhatsApp training support group class chat with your fellow students and tutor

• weekly training notes and step-by-step homework guidance

• supporting training handouts and infographics via email

• rosette and certificate upon completion of the course

Courses are relaxed and intimate and consist of 4 x 50-60 minute sessions over a 4 week period. Fun for all the family!

Private Training

From £150.00 for initial 1 hour home assessment or £95.00 for initial 1 hour online consultation.

Follow-on home visits:

£120.00 in person for 1 hour (discounts available for multiple sessions).

What’s included in the cost of in person training with us:

• 1 hour tailored training session dedicated to your dog’s needs

• comprehensive follow-up training plan and support package

• supplementary training handouts (free downloads)

• post training support via WhatsApp (video/text) for up to 1 month after your training session

• travel and parking (we won’t ask you to pay mileage)

• training treats and chews

After our initial consultation with you and your dog, we will make further recommendations training and you will receive a detailed follow-up report and a bespoke quotation based on your dog’s individual needs.

Our private training is available Monday to Friday only but we are very flexible about the days and times which you and your dog wish to train on and will do or best to work around your schedule when possible.

Once we’ve assessed your dog, we will tailor an individual training programme to their needs and work alongside you to help achieve these goals.

The types of training and behavioural areas we can help with privately include:

• Follow on training (post puppy school)

• Heelwork (walking nicely on lead)

• Separation anxiety

• Reactivity (barking and lunging when on lead)

• Desensitisation training (overcoming fears)

* If we think after our initial consultation that your dog may benefit from seeing an Animal Behaviourist, we are also able to refer you to a specialist in this field.

Please note our home visits for private training are only available in KT postcodes. If you live outside of this area, we are able to invite you to train with us at one of our Surrey training venues instead.

Reactive Dog Masterclass

Zoom Consultation - 1 hour - £95.00

Does your dog bark and lunge at other dogs and people when they are on their lead? Are they beautifully behaved at home but as soon as you are on a walk, they become nervous or aggressive? Or perhaps they are just really easily distracted and you cannot get them to listen to you on walks?

The above behaviours are extremely common in dogs of all breeds and ages and our tailored reactivity consultation will help you:

• understand your dog better

• communicate with your dog more effectively

• read your dog’s body language

• identify gaps in your dog’s routine which could be affecting their behaviour

• teach your dog to listen to you

• teach your dog to ignore distractions and focus on you

• teach your dog calm behaviours

• train your dog to walk nicely on their lead

• enjoy walks with your dog - on and off lead!

You will learn about reactivity training techniques such as disengagement training, desensitisation training and counter conditioning. We will help you structure a training plan for your dog which you can put into practice in your own time and at your own pace.

• A thorough analysis of your dog’s lifestyle including diet, exercise, routine and sleep

Once we have discussed your dog’s needs in more detail and identified the motivation for your dog’s behaviour we may also decide to make further recommendations for training based on these conversations (which may include a referral to a Clinical Behaviourist).
