• Imogen is an accredited Animal Training Instructor (ATI) with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC) and a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT, membership no. 01514).

• Lady & the Hound advocates for the use of only kind and ethical dog training methods and does not condone any forms of aversive, dangerous or cruel methods which could cause physical and psychological harm to your puppy (sometimes referred to as ‘balanced’ training).

How long will it take for my puppy to be trained?

Our private puppy training sessions enable us to work at your puppy’s own level of learning and we can adapt our training to suit their needs - fast tracking our speedy learners or slowing things down for our more challenged puppies.

We provide initial four week blocks of training which allow us to introduce the foundations for successful life skills before then assessing any follow-on training requirements. We prioritise supporting you and your puppy throughout the first eighteen months of their life and the three key training stages we focus on are ‘early stage’ (8 to 20 weeks old), ‘junior’ (approx’ 20 weeks plus) and ‘adolescent’ (approx’ 30 weeks plus). Different breeds mature at different rates and so our training plans are flexible and can be adapted to suit your individual dog.

Dog training is a journey, and one which is not linear! It’s helpful to remember that just like humans, dogs are unique beings with different personalities and this means that each puppy’s training journey may be different. There will be successes and bumps along the way, but most of all we hope there will be lots of fun and enjoyment for you and your puppy and that with our support, your bond will grow from strength to strength.

How much does it cost and what is included?

Our pricing is tailored to your puppy’s needs - which will be assessed in an initial complementary twenty minute discovery call with one of our team. Examples of our different training investment options include:

• new client training and behaviour assessment - £150.00 per 90 minutes (60 min home visit plus a follow-up 30 min online review)

• ad-hoc home visits - £120.00 per hour

• four week puppy ‘life skills’ package (early stages, 8 to 20 weeks old) - £450.00

• four week puppy ‘follow-on’ package (junior stage, approx 20 weeks plus) - £450.00

• four week puppy ‘finesse’ package (adolescent stage, approx 30 weeks plus) - £450.00

• buy two packages for £800.00 or all three for £1100.00 (instalment plans available)
